At GW, we've spent years working behind the scenes as an OEM supplier, providing components like hubs, rims, thru-axles, and complete wheelsets to major bike brands. For Eurobike 2025, we're stepping out from behind the curtain with a new lineup of products—most notably, a 32-inch cross-country (XC) wheelset and a new hub platform we're calling the RCS (Ratchet Cartridge System).

Why 32 Inches?
Our decision to develop a 32-inch wheelset was driven by performance data and rider feedback. Larger-diameter wheels offer improved rollover characteristics, traction, and momentum retention—key advantages for modern XC courses. While not suited for all riders or frame sizes, we believe taller athletes and competitive XC racers will benefit from the increased efficiency and composure at speed.

The rims are available in both welded and sleeve-joint alloy constructions, as well as carbon, with profile shaping optimized specifically for XC riding. Our goal was to balance stiffness, weight, and trail-ready durability without overbuilding.

RCS Hub System
Alongside the new wheels, we're launching the RCS hub. It uses a simplified ratchet-based design with a spring-loaded retention sleeve, dual drive plates, and a compact cartridge layout. The system is designed for quick engagement, low drag, and straightforward maintenance—no proprietary tools required. The RCS platform also accounts for modern MTB drivetrain demands, especially larger cassette ranges, which many older hub designs weren’t built to accommodate.

Global Assembly & Expanded Offerings
To better serve our OEM partners and small builders alike, we're enabling final wheel assembly in multiple locations, including the U.S., Italy, Vietnam, and Taiwan. This improves delivery times and gives customers more flexibility.

In addition to the XC-focused products, we’re also introducing new carbon wheelsets for road and gravel. Our gravel wheels are built for long-distance durability with optimized compliance, while the road line is tuned for aerodynamics and consistent spoke tension.

For those building custom wheelsets, we’re also rolling out a complete range of carbon and alloy rims. These include options for various riding styles and conditions, available in both welded and sleeved formats.

Availability
Mass production of our new wheelsets will begin in 2026. In the meantime, we’ll show the full range at Eurobike 2025—come find us in Hall 11.1, Booth A26.
