Detailed description

GW's thru axles are equipped with unique Switch System. The Switch System is a modular thru axle and lever system that allows a thru axle to be used with or without a Switch lever mounted on the bike.

GW offers a wide range of SWITCH levers that will fit any bike. Additionally, they can be customized with choice of tool.

Operation Introduction

1.To install, line up the lever with the hex hole and snap on.

2.Turn the lever clockwise to tighten the axle (counterclockwise to remove).

3.Once the lever is locked on, it will not rattle or come loose.

4.Pull the lever out and reinstall to set to the preferred riding position. (Up to six position angles)

Instructions

Installing the axle

1. Align the hub and slide the thru axle through the frame and hub.
2. Turn the thru axle clockwise with Switch
Lever or 6mm hex wrench to tighten with 10-12Nm of force.
 

Setting the lever angle

3. If using a Switch Lever, you can pull it out and reposition as desired.
4. Fully reinsert the lever in the thru axle.
It will not fall out while riding.
 

Removing the axle

5. Turn the lever or 6mm hex wrench counterclockwise
6. When axle is unthreaded, pull the thru axle out completely and the wheel can be removed from the frame.
